Raspberry Pi based power manager
The primary goal for this project to use a 12 volt trigger to power on a DSP that did not have a 12 Volt trigger in. The secondary goal was to delay the powering the power amplifier. I used a Raspberry Pi GPIO ports for this job which left lots of unused I/O I kept adding features including temperature sensors and Pulse Width Modulated cooling fans. In addition to the controller board I designed a 5 amp and 15 amp relay boards. Combine these boards with a Raspberry Pi and a 5V and 12V power supply (Mean Well PD-45A works nice) to build a complete system to control two 12V triggers inputs, 2 PWM fans, two temperature sensors and 5 relay boards. I have included some functional python code and NodeRed flows to create a web interface. Someday I will write a technical manual for the code.
