Trip Preperation
It all started when I read an old history book "The Story of Extinct Civilizations of the West" by F.A.S. M.A. Robert E. Anderson. In it the author mentioned the Hopewell Mounds in Ohio. This caused me to start searching for more archeological sites in the Midwest. After putting together a list of places to visit I decided to also visit the Great Lakes. I had been to Toronto and had seen Lake Ontario from a distance but had never been close to any of the lakes. My itinerary also included independent coffee shops, local restaurants and points of interest.
