Mosaic Gallery Page 2

I used a picture I took of the display in front of the Atlantis space shuttle exhibit at the Kennedy Space Center. When I visited to experience the launch of the Europa Clipper launch. After the launch atop of a Falcon Heavy rocket I visited a few exhibits. When I took the picture I thought I was looking at a mockup of the solid rocket boosters and the external fuel take. However when I was studying the picture to create this mosaic I discovered that these are actual rocket parts. I used several of the Roam rules on this one, outlining, split lines and more consistent tesserae. I spent more time filling in the background versus the brick wall tiling of my previous pieces. I still made the mistake of using rectangles. Winklemans, Briare, Cinca and Kismit tiles on a 6 by 8 inch backer in a cherry frame (scrap from wood from my kitchen remodel which sat in a crawl space for 20 years). I spent 22 hours laying out the tesseare.
