Day Five
I went to the breakfast room in the morning and ate a little. There was a young women there with a Chihuahua who was asking for help getting breakfast because the dog isn’t allowed by the food. I made her a waffle and she thanked me too many times. I was feeling no better so I told the women at the front desk that I was staying another night and to tell housekeeping to leave me alone. I spent the next 24 hours in bed watching TMC. Sometime in the night I realized I had not taken a dump since Tuesday and it might be the cause of all my problems. A Google search confirmed that all my symptoms matched fecal impaction. I decided to go to urgent care in the morning.
The nurse at urgent care said that they can’t treat impaction but they can treat constipation. She prescribed suppositories, Miralax and Dulcolax. She said take one Duclax and one suppository and if in a few hours nothing happened I was to take 6 capfuls of the Miralax and I wouldn’t be constipated any more. Up until this point in my life I have been as regular as a dog so I have never used a laxative. Well guess what, after a few hours nothing happened so I took the next step and still nothing but a couple of farts.
